Our Kennels
When you call in to Jazzmore's Retreat you will be greeted by Lisa And Hayden. The kennels are situated on their own residential property located within minutes of Shannon’s town center on Graham Street. Shannon is located approximately 20 minutes from Palmerston North, 15 minutes from Foxton and 15 minutes from Levin, making it easily accessible. As a boutique kennel they have facilities for 20 dogs at one time, and their facilities are designed to cater from small dogs to the largest breeds, including a very large kennel within a paddock to accommodate up to 3 dogs.
The lovely runs are tree lined and provide plenty of space for dogs to play, sun themselves or just take in the country air. Vets are on call if required in an emergency, and we can also cater for any minor treatments your pet may need while staying at Jazzmore's Retreat.
Jazzmore's Retreat was started in by Irene and Kerry Moore in 2010. The business was named after Jazzmore, their beloved Greyhound. Jazzmore was an award winning Greyound, winning many races over her career before retiring to live out her older years on the property. Irene and Kerry retired in Sept 2017 after building a successful boarding kennel business with a reputation for personalized loving care for the dogs in their care.
Lisa and Hayden are the proud new owners at Jazzmore's and are also both passionate dog lovers. They have four dogs of their own, and are experienced kennel operators. They actively participate in sled dog sports in the winter months which is something their own dogs love.
