Jazzmore’s Retreat is a canine boarding kennel servicing the Manawatu, Horowhenua, and Kapiti regions, although some of our doggie visitors also come from as far as Wellington.
Many dogs placed with us become regulars once owners see how happy and relaxed their dogs are when collected. This is achieved because we are small in size, and we pride ourselves on giving every pet in our care individual attention, affection and plenty of exercise. Yes, we love dogs, and they can tell! |

VaccinationsAll dogs must have up to date vaccinations and be able to show a record of this. We also asks our guests to ensure they have been recently wormed and de-flead before visiting us.

Rates We have simple daily rates. Almost all dogs will be charged $15 per day inc GST. Some extra large breeds may incur an additional cost up to $20 per day, however this will be discussed with you at the time of booking.

FoodThe daily rate includes dog food. We ensure all dog food provided is of good quality, however if your dog is on a special diet, you are welcome to provide your own food. Please note that this does not reduce your daily rate.

About Us
Hello our names are Lisa and Hayden, and we are the proud and excited new owner/operators of Jazzmore’s Retreat. We are both passionate dog lovers and have had dogs all our lives. Hayden and I have spent time working in kennels in the past, and developed a love of caring for and looking after animals. We currently have four dogs of our own who we love and cherish dearly.
We also actively participate in sled dog sports in the winter months. Our dogs love it and really enjoy the exercise, stimulation and socialising. We understand what it can be like leaving your loved pets at a boarding kennels as we have had to do the same on occasion . We will give your pets the same kind of care and love that we would expect ours to receive, and we really look forward to meeting all existing and new fur babies and their owners.

Kennel Management

All kennels are insulated, very secure, and are cleaned at least once a day. Dog bowls and any other equipment used are sterilised, and your dog will receive clean fresh bedding. Of course you are also welcome to bring any bedding your dog prefers. Small dogs are kept in separate enclosures that are heated during winter to ensure all dogs are kept cosy and warm. We also provide additional dog clothing if required, or needed.
